For the Love of Gracie

Gracie Santa Cruz

On the morning of August 14, 2011 a fire broke out in the rented home of Rodney F. White while he was at work at Mesquite Valley Growers. His beloved rescue dog, Gracie, perished in the fire and Rodney lost all of his worldly possessions. His possessions were few and all that mattered in his life was the love he shared with Gracie. For the past year Gracie and Rodney shared a home and tremendous love. Gracie brought to the life of this compassionate, artistic and gentle man companionship and a new outlook on life. She was as he said “His saving Grace.”

The Gracie Santa Cruz Memorial Fund has been set up in order to provide for Rodney the financial help he will need to replace the material things that he lost when his home burned down. Gracie can never be replaced but she looks down from heaven and sends free love, licks and tail wags to all who reach out and help her savior.
